CytoChip ISCA

Microarray CGH enables copy number imbalance to be screened at a much higher resolution than is possible using traditional metaphase techniques. The ability to reliably identify small scale imbalances combined with greater automation, reduced subjectivity and removal of cell culturing have driven the adoption to arrayCGH as a front line test for the investigation of developmental delay and other constitutional conditions.

CytoChip ISCA enables laboratories to implement arrayCGH using the industry standard ISCA (International Standard Cytogenetic Array) design. CytoChip ISCA reports the gene content of over 500 recognised disease regions while genome wide coverage, including subtelomeres and pericentromeres, supports detection of imbalances as small as 60 Kb (4x180K format).

CytoChip ISCA is available in five formats including the 4x180K, 4 hybridization areas per slide each with 180K probes, for investigations demanding the highest resolutions and the more cost effective 8x60K format, 8 hybridization areas per slide each with 60K probes.

CytoChip Oligo SNP 4x180K, recently added to the range, enables the assessment of copy number imbalance at high resolution, together with LOH, in the same assay. The 150,000 probes of the 4x180K ISCA design is supplemented with 27,000 SNP probes to provide approximately 10 Mb genome wide LOH detection.

Complementary BlueFuse software licenses deliver fully automated array processing, including the classification of regions as benign or pathogenic based on a curated annotation database of the latest web resources.  All results are stored in a powerful multiuser SQL database to provide secure and scalable data management together with automated reporting of the size and frequency of copy number imbalance within the laboratory cohort.

CytoChip ISCA may be ordered in boxes of four slides, complete with gaskets, or as a pack complete with quality controlled labelling systems and Human COT DNA.
